SFRR-E 2015 Meeting in Germany

Welcome Address

Dear colleagues,

As Chairman of the Joint Meeting of SFRR Europe and the Society of Nutrition and Food Science (SNFS), I have the pleasure to invite you to join us at the forthcoming meeting “Redox Biology Meets Nutrition” at the University of Hohenheim in Stuttgart, Germany from September 2-4, 2015.

The conference will be held at a beautiful venue, the Hohenheim Palace built in 1782 by Duke Karl Eugen of Württemberg. The baroque palace is now the main building of the University of Hohenheim (founded in 1818) and surrounded by historic parklands and botanical gardens, which make the campus one of the most beautiful campuses in Germany. The university is located in the south of Stuttgart only minutes away from the international airport of Stuttgart and connected by railway to Stuttgart’s high-speed train station connecting Stuttgart to Frankfurt Airport and many European cities.

This joint meeting will provide a great opportunity for advancing the communication between academics, researchers and industry in the field of redox biology and nutrition. We envisage attendance by delegates from all continents, offering established and early career researchers the opportunity to network, discuss their cutting-edge research and to interact with representatives from industry.

The International Scientific Committee, which is composed of distinguished researchers from around the globe representing all regions of SFRR and SNFS, is dedicated to creating a fascinating programme for the SFRRE/SNFS 2015 Meeting “Redox Biology Meets Nutrition”, which will be composed of 5 Plenary Sessions, 5 Symposia, a Young Investigators Award Symposium and an Early Career Research Symposium, in addition to Oral and Poster presentations.

I look forward to welcoming you in Stuttgart for a fruitful SFRR-E/SNFS Joint Meeting.

Jan Frank
Chair of SFRRE/SNFS Conference 2015
President of SNFS
