GUIDELINES FOR NOMINATION OF SFRR-E HONORARY LECTURES

SFRR-Europe Annual Award Lecture is an honorary Society lecture. The invitees are prominent and mature scientists with a track record of publications in the field of free radical research. Nominators should submit a research summary for the individual they wish to nominate as a single PDF file, using the template provided online in the Call for Nominations (https://www.sfrr-europe.org/). They should highlight in particular the nominee’s key scientific and/or organizational achievements, total number of publications and citations, average citation of published papers, Hirsch index, maximum of 10 major publications with impact factor as well as the URL for the nominee’s research website.

SFRR-Europe Basic Science Award Lecture is sponsored annually by Elsevier. The invitees are prominent scientists that need not necessarily have worked directly in the field of free radical research but in a field with the potential for “cross-fertilization” with free radical research. Nominators should submit a research summary for the individual they wish to nominate as a single PDF file, using the template provided online in the Call for Nominations (https://www.sfrr-europe.org/). They should highlight in particular the nominee’s key scientific and/or organizational achievements, total number of publications and citations, average citation of published papers, Hirsch index, maximum of 10 major publications with impact factor as well as the URL for the nominee’s research website.

SFRR-Europe Clinical Award Lecture is sponsored annually by DSM. The invitees are prominent scientists from clinical sciences that need not necessarily have worked directly in the field of free radical research but in a field with the potential for “cross-fertilization” with free radical research. The nominators should submit a research recapitulation of the person they nominate as a pdf file using the template provided online in the Call for Nominations (https://www.sfrr-europe.org/). They should highlight in particular the nominee’s key scientific and/or organizational achievements, total number of publications and citations, average citation of published papers, Hirsch index, maximum of 10 major publications with impact factor as well as the URL for the nominee’s research website.

The Catherine Pasquier Memorial Lecture is awarded annually to an early career scientist who has not yet taken up a permanent academic or industrial position. Nominators should submit a letter of recommendation for the individual they wish to nominate that should clearly lay out the importance of the candidate's accomplishments to date and be convincing in its prediction of future research promise. Nominators should submit a single PDF file using the template provided online in the Call for Nominations (https://www.sfrr-europe.org/). They should highlight in particular the nominee’s key scientific and/or organizational achievements, total number of publications and citations, average citation of published papers, Hirsch index, as well as the nominee’s research website URL.

The Leopold Flohé Redox Pioneer Young Investigator Award is awarded annually to a scientist < 45 years with outstanding novel findings in the field of biological redox processes, working already independently, and leading an own group of young scientists having published high quality papers. It is sponsored sponsored by SFRR-E and Jarrow Formula. Nominators should submit a single PDF file using the template provided online in the Call for Nominations (https://www.sfrr-europe.org/).

All nominations are submitted through the online system for the Call for Nominations, which is available at https://www.sfrr-europe.org/ when the Call is open.

An International Scientific Committee reviews nominations for SFRR-E honorary lectures, and the SFRR-E Executive selects nominees with the highest rankings.
